The coat of arms of the clan Katapán-Bána from Pecheneg origin, from which according to the tradition the family has descended, is not known.

This letter of nobility was announced in Pozsony county in 1627 and in Győr and Komárom counties in 1643. Notwithstanding, the most of the family members continued to use some sort of the ancient coat of arms with the dove.
